Audit. Remediate. Verify.

01

Audit

An automated scan of your site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the standard most accessibility cases and settlements reference. Issues are prioritized by severity, not just flagged in bulk.

Audit Scope
50+ WCAG Criteria

Automated scanning across every success criterion that applies to your site

02

Remediation

Fixes are implemented directly in your codebase, theme, or platform — contrast, heading structure, keyboard navigation, alt text, forms, and focus states. No overlay widget sitting on top of unfixed problems.

Custom code, WordPress, Shopify, and beyond — fixed at the source, regardless of what your site is built on

The Issues That Show Up in Almost Every Audit

Most accessibility problems aren't exotic edge cases — they're the same handful of issues, repeated across thousands of sites that have never been audited.

  • Color contrast that fails WCAG minimums for text and UI elements
  • Broken or skipped heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3 structure)
  • Keyboard navigation gaps and missing focus indicators
  • Missing or inaccurate alt text on images
  • Form fields without proper labels or error messaging
  • ARIA used incorrectly — or missing where it's actually needed

"We don't sell a script that hides the problem. We fix the markup, the contrast, and the structure — the same code your developers will maintain going forward."

A Straightforward Path From Audit to Fixed

No retainer required to find out where you stand. We start with an audit so you know exactly what's flagged and what it would take to fix it — then remediate against that same standard, and show you the proof.

Overlay Widgets Don't Fix Anything — They Sit on Top of the Problem

A growing number of "ADA compliance" widgets promise instant fixes with a single line of script. Several of the companies selling them have themselves been sued — because the underlying site was never actually fixed. We remediate the markup, the contrast, and the structure directly, so the fix is real and it's yours, not a third-party script you're renting.

We Audited and Fixed Our Own Site First.

The Work

Before offering this service to clients, we ran the same process on lavolt.com: a full WCAG 2.1 AA scan, followed by remediation based on what it flagged across every page on the site.

What Changed

  • Color contrast corrected across text and UI elements site-wide
  • Heading hierarchy fixed so screen readers and assistive tech parse the page correctly
  • Fixes implemented directly in our codebase — no overlay, no third-party script

Conformance, Not a Guarantee

We're straightforward about scope: we remediate against WCAG 2.1 AA, the technical standard most accessibility cases reference. "ADA compliant" isn't a certification anyone can legally issue — there's no governing body that grants one, and outcomes depend on your full site, your content going forward, and how each case is interpreted. What we can guarantee is a thorough, documented conformance review and fix — the same standard-based approach that reduces risk far more than a script or a vague promise ever will.

Automated scanning and the code fixes that follow are the first step, not the last word — they catch the majority of common issues, but full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance also depends on manual testing (screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and other checks scanners can't fully automate). We'll tell you plainly which parts of your audit were covered by scanning and where manual testing is still recommended.

Before We Talk

Common questions about accessibility audits and remediation — answered honestly.

No — and anyone who promises that is overstating what's possible. There's no certifying body for ADA compliance, and outcomes depend on factors beyond any single audit. What we guarantee is a thorough audit and remediation against WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard most accessibility cases actually reference, plus documentation of exactly what was reviewed and fixed.

WCAG is a technical standard with specific, testable success criteria. ADA compliance is a legal conclusion that courts and regulators determine case by case — there's no official certification for it. Bringing a site to WCAG 2.1 AA conformance is the most defensible, widely recognized way to reduce risk, which is what we focus on.

We work across custom-coded sites, WordPress, Shopify, and other major platforms — fixed at the source rather than layered on top with a third-party app or script. If you're not sure how your site is built, that's something we sort out as part of the audit.

Usually not. Overlay widgets adjust how a page is presented in the browser, but they don't fix the underlying markup, contrast, or structure — and several overlay vendors have themselves faced lawsuits over this exact gap. An audit will tell you specifically what the overlay isn't catching.

No, and we won't tell you it does. Automated scanning and the code fixes that follow catch the majority of common, high-impact issues efficiently — but some WCAG success criteria genuinely require manual testing (screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and similar checks) to verify. We're upfront about which issues were caught by scanning and where manual testing is still recommended for full conformance.

The audit itself is typically the fastest part. Remediation timelines depend on the size of the site and the number of issues found — we'll give you a specific estimate after the audit, once we know exactly what needs to change.
